Zoyols News

Popular Nigerian comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Aderombi Adedayo Martins, better known as DeeOne, has emerged as the candidate of the BOOT Party for the Ibeju Lekki Constituency 1 seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

He secured the party’s ticket after coming out victorious in the primary election conducted by the BOOT Party, marking a new chapter in his journey from entertainment into active politics.

Following the announcement of his win, DeeOne took to his social media page on Wednesday night to express appreciation to the party leadership for trusting him with the mandate. He described the opportunity as a significant responsibility and a chance to contribute meaningfully to his community.

In his message, he also reached out to residents of Ibeju Lekki Constituency 1 ahead of the 2027 elections, assuring them of his commitment to genuine service. He emphasized that his approach to representation would be centred on listening to the people and working in their best interest rather than seeking personal power or influence.

With the ticket now secured, DeeOne joins the growing list of entertainers making a transition into politics, as attention gradually shifts toward the upcoming election cycle in Lagos State.
