Erling Haaland’s next role? Playing a cartoon Viking

Zoyols News

Erling Haaland is trading the football pitch for the silver screen, stepping into a role he was practically born to play. In a brilliant bit of casting, the towering Manchester City striker has signed on to voice a fierce Viking warrior in an upcoming animated movie.

For football fans, the connection is obvious. The prolific Norwegian forward has long been compared to a marauding Viking by pundits and supporters alike, terrifying defenders while shattering records as the fastest player in history to score 100 Premier League goals. Now, that on-field persona is officially crossing over into cinema.

The film’s producers confirmed Haaland’s involvement at the Cannes Film Festival. The project, titled “Viqueens,” is being helmed by his compatriot Harald Zwart, the acclaimed director behind the hit remake of “The Karate Kid.”

Billed as a captivating children’s tale, the movie is scheduled for a major holiday release on Christmas Day. Audiences can expect to be transported to a vibrant, mythical universe filled with fearless warrior girls, icy fjords, and rich Silk Road mythology. With Haaland lending his star power and unmistakable presence to the project, the animated feature is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated family releases of the season.
