Zoyols News

Nollywood actress Jumoke Odetola is celebrating a proud and emotional moment after receiving special recognition from her alma mater, Ajayi Crowther University.

The actress shared the exciting development with her followers on Instagram, posting a video filled with joy and gratitude. Reflecting on her journey, Jumoke revealed that not too long ago, she was simply a student walking the halls of the institution. Today, she has returned to the same university as a respected guest speaker for the school’s distinguished personality lecture.

According to her, the university’s Theatre Arts students are also set to celebrate her achievements, a gesture she described as deeply exciting and meaningful. The actress expressed pride in how far she has come, noting that being honoured by the same institution where she once studied makes the moment even more special.

Jumoke’s educational journey has continued to inspire many of her fans over the years. In an earlier post shared on social media, she gave followers a glimpse into her life as a student, admitting that learning had opened her eyes to how much more knowledge there is to gain.

About two years ago, the actress returned to school to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree. At the time, she shared photos from the university environment and explained that her decision was driven by her passion for growth and her strong desire to keep learning.

The journey, however, was not without its challenges. Jumoke once spoke openly about the struggles she faced while balancing academics and life. She admitted that studying and retaining information became difficult at some point, prompting her to embrace a simpler lifestyle, including keeping a low haircut and maintaining a natural appearance, which she said helped her stay focused.

In 2023, the actress successfully completed her Master’s degree despite the hurdles she encountered along the way. Sharing photos from her graduation ceremony, Jumoke expressed appreciation to God for granting her strength, good health and perseverance, especially during periods when she battled recurring illness.

Her latest recognition from Ajayi Crowther University now stands as another remarkable chapter in a journey marked by determination, growth and personal achievement.
