England manager Thomas Tuchel has named a 30 man travelling squad set for Florida in the United States, where the Three Lions will begin preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The training camp will run from June 1 to June 13 and will feature a mix of experienced players and emerging talents as England fine tunes its squad for the global tournament. During the camp, the team is also expected to play friendly matches against New Zealand on June 6 and Costa Rica on June 10.
Among the standout inclusions is 17 year old forward Rio Ngumoha, who is eligible to represent Nigeria but has now been included in England’s senior training group following an impressive rise at club level with Liverpool.
Tuchel also included three other uncapped players in the squad, as part of his plan to integrate young prospects into the senior setup while still maintaining balance and depth across the team.
Ngumoha’s inclusion comes after a breakthrough season with Liverpool, where he made 18 Premier League appearances and scored twice. His performances have earned him growing recognition across Europe, including a nomination for the 2026 Golden Boy award, which honours the best under 21 player on the continent.
The young forward also made history at Anfield when he became Liverpool’s youngest ever Premier League goalscorer at just 17 years and 225 days.
At international level, Ngumoha has already featured for England across various youth categories, including under 15, under 16, under 17 and most recently under 19, where he made his debut in a friendly match against Ukraine in September 2025.
His rise places him among a growing list of players of Nigerian descent involved in England’s current setup as they continue their preparations in Florida.
