Nigerian Bureau Chief Visits ECOWAS Brown Card Secretariat

Dr. Lucas Durojaiye, Chairman of the Nigerian National Bureau and Managing Director of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, has concluded a three-day working visit to the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme’s Permanent Secretariat in Lomé, Togo.

The visit was aimed at holding high-level talks on ways to strengthen the scheme and boost its contribution to regional integration across West Africa.

During the engagement, discussions focused on institutional cooperation, improved operational efficiency, closer ties between national bureaux and the permanent secretariat, digital transformation, and better claims management.

The Permanent Secretariat welcomed the visit and praised the Nigerian National Bureau’s commitment and support for the scheme’s goals. It also emphasised the need for continued collaboration and regular consultation among member countries, especially as the scheme works on its digital upgrade.

As part of its regional cooperation efforts, the secretariat said it remains committed to working with all national bureaux to build a stronger, more efficient and transparent ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme.
