Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has nominated four individuals to join his cabinet as Commissioner-designates. The nominees are Dr. Jerry Uwangue, Barr. Kenneth Okoruwa Ihensekhien, Barr. Usenbo Paul Ehigie, and Akhigbe Osi John.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, the names of the nominees will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation. This development comes after the Assembly had earlier confirmed 12 nominees for the Governor.
Notably, Governor Okpebholo has been working with six commissioners since his inauguration last year. The latest nominees are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the state’s administration.
Dr. Jerry Uwangue, one of the nominees, boasts over two decades of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance (EPCOM) services in the oil, gas, and power sectors. His impressive track record in driving business growth, spearheading innovative projects, and improving operational efficiency makes him a valuable asset to the state’s cabinet.
The nomination of these four individuals demonstrates Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to building a strong and effective team to drive the state’s development. As the Edo State House of Assembly considers their nominations, the state awaits with anticipation the contributions these individuals will make to its growth and progress.
