Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has opened up about her gratitude following her husband Olakunle Churchill’s reconciliation with his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh.
Over the weekend, Tonto surprised many by extending an olive branch to Churchill, revealing that after ten years of public disputes, lingering bitterness, and broken communication, God had stepped in to restore peace.
In response, Rosy took to Instagram, sharing a photo of herself simply captioned “Grateful,” a statement of her appreciation amid the emotional turn of events. Previously, she had posted a photo declaring herself the “Queen of all Queens,” which drew criticism from social media users.
During a testimony at Pastor Jerry Eze’s church, Tonto reflected on a decade of struggle marked by loneliness, shame, and the painful reality of her son not knowing his father. She described the restoration of her family’s bond as a miraculous act that occurred in a single day.
Churchill, for his part, revealed how deeply moved he was upon receiving a call from his son, King Andre, for the first time, hearing him say “Daddy.” He expressed gratitude to Tonto, praising her as an incredible mother who had done right by their child.
For context, Tonto and Churchill married in 2015, but their union ended after two years amid allegations of domestic violence and irreconcilable differences claims Churchill publicly denied. Their relationship further soured in 2022 when Churchill issued a cease-and-desist letter to Tonto for defaming him and his wife. The letter cited false claims about the couple’s wedding, accusations of Rosy being a “husband snatcher,” and allegations of him being an absentee father. Tonto dismissed the lawsuit, claiming it had no merit and questioning the mental stability of the accuser.
Despite years of tension and public scrutiny, the recent reconciliation appears to have brought a measure of healing, with both families acknowledging the role of faith and patience in bridging old divides.
