Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami and his wife, Jumoke Salami, are marking a special milestone as they celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary.
To commemorate the occasion, the actor shared heartwarming photos of himself and his wife, expressing gratitude for their journey together and reaffirming his deep affection for her.
“CHEERS TO 11 YEARS OF BLISS. HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO US ABOKI. LOVE YOU LIKE KILODE @jarinola,” he wrote.
Responding to her husband, Jumoke, also known as Jarinola, declared her commitment to their union, writing, “You and me together forever.”
The couple’s anniversary celebration attracted warm wishes from friends, colleagues and admirers within the entertainment industry. Actor Jamiu Azeez wrote, “Happy anniversary, fam. Cheers to forever.”
Stan Nze also joined in the celebration with the message, “Wow! Good God. Happy anniversary.”
Kiekie simply wrote, “Happy anniversary,” while Bakare Zainab congratulated the couple and wished them many more years together, saying, “Congratulations, my people. Forever to go.”
Kemi Korede commented, “Forever together,” as Jide Awobona and Sunkanmi Omobolanle also extended their congratulations.
Veteran actress Fali Werepe offered prayers for the couple, writing, “God continue to be the head of your home and continue to bless your union.”
Folagade Banks affectionately referred to them as “Awon temi,” while Bukola Adeeyo, Ashabi, Fausat Balogun, Mama Ereko and VJ Adams reacted with love emojis.
Rotimi has consistently celebrated his wife publicly over the years. Earlier this year, as he counted down to his cinema debut, he shared beautiful photographs of them dressed in matching traditional outfits and expressed gratitude to God for His blessings.
In February, during his wife’s birthday celebration, the actor described her as his safe place and thanked her for the immense role she has played in his life. According to him, she transformed him from what he described as a “yamayama boy” into a loving and refined man. He also noted that he feels blessed every day because she completes him.
During their 10th wedding anniversary celebration last year, Rotimi reflected on a decade of standing side by side with his wife, stating that they had spent 10 years conquering life’s challenges together. He expressed appreciation to God and prayed for many more years of growth, victories and mutual support.
In 2023, while celebrating another anniversary milestone, the actor revealed that the years spent with his wife had passed so quickly because God had remained at the centre of their marriage. He also reaffirmed his lifelong commitment and love for her.
Rotimi has previously defended his wife against online criticism. In one instance, he called out a troll who made unkind remarks about her appearance and age, while expressing hope that the individual would one day experience genuine love despite harbouring negative opinions about others.
In a separate development back in November 2023, the actor sparked reactions online after sharing a video in which he appeared to hint at being in love, revealing that he intended to propose and expressing hope that his lover would accept his proposal.
