Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has opened up emotionally after sharing what she described as one of the most defining moments of her life, following a deeply personal testimony that has drawn wide attention. The actress spoke candidly about her journey toward healing, opening up on years of addiction and personal struggles. Tonto disclosed that she began smoking at the age of thirteen, influenced by her father, and remained addicted for twenty seven years before finally breaking free. She also admitted to battling alcoholism and struggling with masturbation, challenges she said shaped a long and painful chapter of her life.
In a heartfelt message shared on her social media page, Tonto described the testimony as far more than a memory. She called it her bravest and proudest moment, explaining that it marked a major turning point in her spiritual walk and personal growth.
She reflected on how, for decades, she lived with an invisible burden made up of shame, doubt and fear, emotions that kept her from fully expressing her faith. According to her, she longed to love Jesus wholeheartedly but felt unable to cross that barrier through her own strength.
Tonto revealed that her encounter with NSPPD, New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations, became the moment everything changed. She described it as a powerful spiritual experience that ignited a deep transformation within her, giving her the freedom to love Jesus without fear, guilt or reservation.
She explained that what she received was not just teachings, but a complete inner change that allowed her faith to find a bold and fearless voice. What once felt like a quiet and hesitant belief, she said, grew into a strong and confident devotion rooted in surrender and gratitude.
According to the actress, that moment brought her true freedom, the freedom to stand confidently in her faith, knowing that her worth is anchored in love and grace. She ended her message with a declaration of victory, calling on everyone to witness grace at work in her life.
Only weeks earlier, Tonto had also looked back on her past, describing how her life moved from being a mess to becoming a message. She expressed gratitude to God, noting that the place she was brought out from was one no human should ever have to experience.
