The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Ade Adetimehin, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a transformative leader divinely sent to steer Nigeria toward progress. Speaking in Akure, the state capital, he said the nation is already beginning to experience the positive effects of Tinubu’s leadership.
Adetimehin emphasized that the president’s rise to power was orchestrated to rescue the country from prolonged economic and institutional challenges. He acknowledged that while the ongoing reforms may be demanding, they are essential for long-term stability and sustainable growth.
Drawing an analogy between the current economic climate and the birth pains of a new Nigeria, the APC chairman highlighted gradual improvements in the cost of living. He pointed to declining food prices as a tangible sign that the government’s policies are starting to take effect.
“President Bola Tinubu is a messiah sent by God at this crucial moment. His economic reforms are visible, and his efforts in infrastructural development are evident,” Adetimehin said.
He cited market surveys showing the sharp drop in food prices. “Last year, a bag of rice could sell for nearly N120,000, but today it is available for around N51,000. Similar reductions are occurring across other essential items. Gradually, prices are coming down. We are thankful for President Tinubu’s dedication to making this country a better place to live. The APC in Ondo State remains united in support of his vision.”
The APC chairman called on Nigerians to remain patient and continue supporting the president, noting that policies such as fuel subsidy removal, tax reforms, and economic stabilization measures would yield positive outcomes over time. He also praised party members for their resilience amid current economic realities, expressing confidence that citizens will soon fully experience the benefits of the APC-led administration’s programs.
Adetimehin reaffirmed the Ondo APC’s commitment to mobilizing grassroots support for President Tinubu. He underscored the role of support groups working for the president’s re-election, describing them as loyal party members genuinely advancing the party’s agenda ahead of the 2027 general election.
“These support groups are not acting independently. They are pressure groups working alongside the party, loyal under my leadership. Their efforts are vital in bringing energy and life to our party, and I commend them for their dedication,” he said.
He further urged all APC members in Ondo State to remain united, stressing that internal cohesion is crucial for the success of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “The APC in Ondo State is solidly behind President Tinubu. We must stay focused, avoid distractions, and work together to ensure the success of his programs and maintain the continued strength of our party,” Adetimehin added.
