APC moves Governor Kefas’ welcome ceremony

ZoyolsBlog

The All Progressives Congress has announced the postponement of the welcome reception for the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, which was initially scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025. A new date for the event will be communicated in due course.

Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, explained in Abuja at the National Secretariat, Buhari House, that the decision was made as a mark of respect for members of the armed forces and citizens recently killed by terrorist attacks, as well as for the victims of abductions, including innocent students in Kebbi State.

“We salute the courage and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform, who risk their lives to defend our liberty and security,” Morka said. “As we mourn the loss of our compatriots, our prayers go out for the safe return of the students taken from their families by forces of evil. Our party extends heartfelt condolences to the families affected by these tragic events.”

He further reiterated the administration’s commitment to ending insurgency and banditry across the nation. “The President Bola Tinubu-led government remains resolute in its efforts to eliminate these threats and bring those responsible to justice,” Morka added.

Zoyols Blog reports that the postponement reflects both a tribute to the fallen and a recognition of the ongoing security challenges facing the country, while underscoring the party’s determination to support victims and strengthen national security.
