Baddo on the Rise: Raheem Animasahun Joins Zuffa Boxing Roster

Zoyols News

Nigerian boxing prodigy Raheem Animasahun, popularly known as “Baddo,” has taken a massive leap toward global stardom by securing a multi-year promotional deal with Zuffa Boxing. The official signing ceremony took place in Lagos, marking a pivotal turning point for the young athlete as he prepares to transition from a regional sensation to a world-class contender.

Animasahun has long been viewed as one of the most exciting talents emerging from the African continent. He famously etched his name into the history books at just 16 years old, becoming the youngest boxer to ever claim a West African title. That historic achievement was solidified in 2024 when he secured a dominant sixth-round technical knockout over Ghana’s Richman Ashelley, a fight that ended after his opponent was unable to return for the seventh round.

By joining the Zuffa Boxing stable, Animasahun now finds himself in elite company. The young Nigerian will be sharing a roster with some of the biggest names in the sport, including the likes of Efe Ajagba, Conor Benn, and Jai Opetaia. This partnership is expected to provide him with the high-level training, international exposure, and competitive platforms necessary to challenge for world titles in the near future.

Reflecting on the new agreement, the young champion expressed his readiness to embrace the challenges of the global stage. He noted that his primary goal remains to sharpen his skills and ensure that the Nigerian flag continues to fly high in international rings. For Animasahun, this isn’t just a personal victory but a chance to bring more global attention to the depth of boxing talent currently coming out of Nigeria.

The move signals a fresh chapter for the fighter, with fans and analysts eager to see how his aggressive style translates against tougher international opposition. With the backing of a major promotional powerhouse, the path is now clear for “Baddo” to follow in the footsteps of Nigerian legends and leave a lasting mark on the world of professional boxing.
