BBN Drama: Big Soso Slams Dede in Explosive Feud

The fallout from the fiery confrontation between Big Soso and Dede on Big Brother Naija Season 10 has continued to stir conversations, especially after Big Soso shed more light on what really fueled the drama.

During her appearance on Yup Weekly Tea with Princess, alongside fellow evicted housemates Ivatar and Doris, Big Soso revisited the incident that became one of the most explosive highlights of the season. The episode aired shortly after her eviction from the show on August 24, 2025.

According to Big Soso, what sparked the argument was a seemingly playful remark that quickly spiraled out of control. Dede had referred to Kola, Koyin, and Jason Jae as her “three fishes.” To Big Soso, however, those housemates were “her boys,” and the comment struck a nerve.

But the tension, she explained, had been building long before that. Big Soso accused Dede of repeatedly refusing to support her during kitchen duties, which she described as central to her peace of mind in the house.

“The kitchen is a safe place for me,” she said. “When you cook, you put all your emotions into it. Even people upset with you soften once they eat. But twice, when Dede was meant to help me, she refused. It was frustrating.”

Encouraged by Dede’s close friend, Mide, to address the issue head-on, Big Soso confronted her. What started as a plea for teamwork escalated when Dede admitted she was “selfish.” That triggered the heated argument that viewers saw unfold on screen.

“I told her, ‘You’re not supportive, you always put yourself first, and I don’t like it,’” Big Soso recalled. “Her response was defensive, and that’s when things got out of hand.”

Reflecting on the altercation, Big Soso admitted that her choice of words might have been too harsh. “I apologised, not because I wanted friendship, but because I later felt some of the words I used were too strong.”

She ended by stressing her personal values, saying beauty goes beyond appearance. “It’s not just about makeup and shining. True beauty is in character, in how you treat people. If I don’t see that in you, I’ll say it.”

The clash, described by many as one of the season’s defining moments, revealed deeper issues about teamwork, inclusiveness, and personality clashes within the house. For Big Soso, the fight with Dede was never just about a “fish” comment — it was about respect and what she saw as a lack of support.
