Pop icon Britney Spears has officially sold the rights to her music catalog, which includes chart-toppers like “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops!…I Did It Again.” The collection also features fan favorites such as “Everytime,” “Me Against the Music,” “S&M,” and “Work Bitch!”
While Spears holds songwriting credits on nearly 40 tracks, only a handful became major hits, yet her influence on pop music remains undeniable. The deal is estimated to be around $200 million, though exact details haven’t been made public.
At 44, Spears joins a growing roster of legendary artists—like Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan—who have sold their music rights in recent years. She hasn’t released a studio album since 2016’s Glory and hasn’t performed live since her final show on the Piece of Me tour at the 2018 Formula One Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
Spears had planned a second Las Vegas residency, Domination, after the success of her first, but ultimately postponed it and stepped away from performing indefinitely, closing a defining chapter of her career while securing her musical legacy for the future.
