The immediate past Vice Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Mrs Elizabeth Kappo, has extended warm congratulations to Princess Damilola Sonayon James following her emergence as the All Progressives Congress deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.

In a statement released on Friday, Kappo described the development as a moment of pride for Badagry and a reflection of the confidence placed in James by the leadership of the ruling party in Lagos State. She noted that the nomination speaks volumes about her years of service, loyalty, and consistent involvement in party activities and community development.

She praised James for what she described as a steady record of commitment, pointing to her work within the APC structure as Deputy Women Leader as well as her role in supervising Agriculture and Social Services. According to Kappo, these responsibilities have allowed her to demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for grassroots engagement, and a consistent focus on empowerment and humanitarian service.

Kappo added that the emergence of James carries significance beyond party politics, especially for the people of Badagry, who she said continue to produce leaders contributing meaningfully to the growth of Lagos State. She expressed pride in the region’s growing influence in political and developmental affairs.

She further expressed confidence that the APC deputy governorship candidate would bring experience and a people focused approach to her new role, noting that such qualities would be valuable in supporting efforts aimed at advancing governance and development across the state.

Offering her personal goodwill message, Kappo wished James strength, wisdom, good health, and success as she steps into the next phase of her political journey, while expressing optimism about her ability to make a positive impact in the build up to the 2027 elections.
