Kebbi State governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has signed into law the over N43.2 billion Reserved 2025 Appropriation Bill.
The governor gave his assent on Thursday, commending members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly for the diligence and commitment with which they carried out their legislative duties. He described the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government as one of the strengths of his administration, stressing the need to further deepen the cooperation for the benefit of the people.
“There was never a time the Assembly failed us, and by the grace of Almighty Allah, we will not only sustain this understanding but also double it,” Idris said, while assuring that his government would remain committed to delivering the dividends of democracy across the state.
Presenting the bill, Speaker of the House, Usman Mohammed Zuru, explained that the appropriation was designed to drive more developmental projects and address key areas of need in Kebbi State. He noted that the House had carefully scrutinised the proposal, made the necessary adjustments, and subsequently passed it into law for the governor’s approval.
The Speaker also praised the governor’s leadership style, highlighting the achievements recorded within just two years of his administration. He emphasised that members of the Assembly remain proud to be associated with his government, noting that the strong partnership between both arms of government reflects a shared vision for the state’s growth and development.
