Authorities reported that thousands of people have died since the protests began, including security personnel and civilians. State officials have blamed extremist-linked violence and foreign interference for the deaths. Diplomatic negotiations have also been progressing slowly. Representatives from Iran and the United States recently met in Geneva through mediation efforts involving regional partners. Iran has signalled willingness to submit a draft proposal aimed at preventing military escalation, while US officials have indicated readiness to continue discussions if progress is made.
Despite ongoing talks, public anxiety remains high inside Iran. Many residents fear that diplomatic failures could trigger open conflict. Some citizens have spoken openly about their concerns for family safety and future stability, while others believe war is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid given regional military buildups and geopolitical rivalries involving allies of both nations.
