Kevin’s Move to Fulham Inches Closer with £35m Offer

Zoyols Blog

Fulham is reportedly on the verge of a club-record signing, nearing a £34.6 million deal for Shakhtar Donetsk’s dynamic winger, Kevin. This blockbuster move for the 22-year-old Brazilian would easily surpass the Cottagers’ previous record of £27 million, which they paid to acquire Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal last summer.

Kevin, who primarily operates on the left wing, has been a key player for the Ukrainian side. His impressive track record includes 17 goals and 10 assists in 57 appearances. If the deal goes through, he would be a much-needed boost for manager Marco Silva, who has recently voiced his frustration with the team’s slow progress in the transfer market.

Just a short while ago, Silva described Fulham’s activity in the summer window as “passive,” with French goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte from Montpellier being their only new addition. The club is also rumored to be on the lookout for another attacking player, with interest in Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling and Basel’s Philip Otele.

Fulham’s start to the Premier League season has been less than ideal, with the team currently sitting in 16th place with just two points from their first three matches. After earning draws against Brighton and Manchester United, they suffered a controversial 2-0 defeat to rivals Chelsea. This potential new signing could be the spark they need to turn their season around.
