The race for the Big Brother Naija Season 11 grand prize has officially claimed its first casualty. Martins Iyeh, the 30-year-old visual storyteller and model from Kogi State, has become the first contestant to exit the house after a short but memorable two-week stint in the competition.
His departure was confirmed during Sunday night’s live eviction show, where viewer votes brought his journey to an abrupt end. Martins, who was among the original 24 housemates introduced when the season kicked off on July 26, had entered the house with a clear, laid-back agenda. Describing himself as a creative director, he famously told viewers upon his arrival that he was primarily there to simply have fun.
During his brief time on the show, Martins managed to carve out a space for himself within the house dynamics. Beyond his creative pursuits, he shared his love for basketball and even playfully claimed mind-reading as a hidden talent. He also enjoyed a brief celebratory highlight when his fellow housemates organized a birthday gathering for him shortly after the season premiered, an event marked by prayers, well-wishes, and a special performance from Mercedes.
Martins Iyeh exit follows a high-stakes week that saw a massive chunk of the house placed on the chopping block. While Head of House Sheba opted to save Chimsom Chuka, and with Aikou and Flora remaining immune as the designated Gambits, the odds were stacked against Martins.
With his departure, the path to the N160 million prize package—which includes a staggering N100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV—has become slightly less crowded. As the season, famously themed “Everything Is For The Taking,” continues to unfold, the remaining housemates are now left to navigate the intensifying pressure of the competition alone.
