Samsung Launches AI Galaxy A57 and A37 in Kenya

Zoyols News

Samsung Electronics has officially pulled the curtain back on its latest mid-range contenders, the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G. The launch, which took place on Tuesday, signals a major move by the tech giant to bring high-end artificial intelligence and premium features to a much wider audience without the flagship price tag. By introducing what it calls “Awesome Intelligence,” Samsung is clearly aiming to democratize AI, moving these advanced tools from its most expensive models down to its more accessible A-series lineup.

Evelyn Munene, the Head of Product and Marketing for Samsung Electronics East Africa, noted that this new release reflects a dedicated effort to ensure that innovation isn’t reserved for a small group of users. The devices are powered by the new One UI 8.5 and come packed with practical AI features. Users can now enjoy voice transcription directly within the recorder app, smarter content selection, and the popular Object Eraser tool for cleaning up photos. The Galaxy A57 5G even goes a step further with “Best Face” technology for perfect group shots and an Auto Trim feature to simplify video editing.

On the hardware side, both smartphones boast a triple-camera setup led by a sharp 50-megapixel main sensor. Samsung has also improved its “Nightography” capabilities, allowing for better low-light photos. For those who prioritize power, the Galaxy A57 5G is equipped with an upgraded processor and a 5,000mAh battery designed to last up to two days. Reports has also learned that the devices integrate deeper AI functionality through Bixby and Google’s Gemini, making voice commands feel more natural across different apps.

Durability and long-term value seem to be at the heart of this launch. Both the A57 and A37 carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and feature sleek Super AMOLED displays with thinner bezels. In a move that will likely appeal to budget-conscious buyers looking for longevity, Samsung is promising six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. This commitment positions the phones as reliable, long-term investments in a very crowded market.

For the Kenyan market, the pricing has been structured to meet different storage needs. The Galaxy A57 5G starts at KES 60,900 for the 128GB model, while the 256GB variant is priced at KES 68,300. Those looking at the more affordable Galaxy A37 5G can pick up the 128GB version for KES 49,000, with the 256GB model retailing at KES 60,200. These devices are now available at Samsung Experience Stores and authorized retail partners across the country.
