Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh is standing firm after the backlash over her viral deliverance video. On Instagram, she shared that the purpose God has placed on her life is too important to be derailed by criticism, and her focus remains on Him alone.
She made it clear that she will not hide her faith to protect her image before people. “I would rather be mocked, ridiculed, or even slain than silence the name of the one who saved me,” she wrote, emphasizing that true strength and victories come from prayer, not public opinion.
Tonto’s weekly outreach recently took her to a school where she conducted deliverance for a student, describing it as part of God’s plan to use her to bring deliverance to others. The video of the event drew widespread reactions.
Critics were quick to voice their concerns. Doris Ogala condemned the involvement of children, calling for authorities to take action. Activist Very Dark Man pointed out that the school was one he had renovated and warned Tonto not to exploit children for content. Comedian I Go Save questioned her priorities, suggesting she focus on broader societal issues rather than school deliverances.
Despite the criticism, Tonto continued sharing clips from her outreach, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve and reiterating that her mission is guided solely by her faith. She reminded her followers that the opposition she faces is not from people but from spiritual forces, and that she remains committed to her calling.
Her message is clear: she will not let ridicule deter her from her faith-driven purpose, and she embraces the mockery as part of walking the path she believes God has set for her.
