Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service and President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has congratulated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday, praising her contributions to public service and support for Nigerian women.
In a birthday message issued on Monday, Adeniyi described the First Lady as a woman committed to service, resilience and national development. He also highlighted her involvement in issues affecting women and her engagement at the grassroots.
According to Adeniyi, Oluremi Tinubu has brought her experience in public administration and grassroots mobilisation to her role in national affairs.
He also linked her support for Nigerian women to the success recorded by the country’s female wrestlers at the 2026 African Wrestling Championships in Alexandria, Egypt. Team Nigeria won a record 15th African women’s title after securing eight gold and two silver medals in the women’s events.
Adeniyi said the achievement reflected the importance of continued encouragement and support for women in sports. He also said the First Lady’s efforts complement the administration’s broader focus on women’s empowerment and national development.
He congratulated Oluremi Tinubu on reaching 66 and described her years of public service as an example for many Nigerians, particularly women.
Adeniyi wished her continued strength, wisdom and fulfilment, while praying for many more years of good health and service to the country.
