Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has spoken out over a copyright claim placed on her YouTube film, Where Love Lives, a move she says has resulted in the movie being demonetised on the platform.
Ademoye alleged that an individual identified as Emmanuel Davies wrongfully claimed ownership of a song used in the film, despite her insistence that she legally owns the full rights to the soundtrack. She further claimed that the same person went ahead to upload the song on Spotify and other streaming platforms, crediting himself as the composer.
Where Love Lives, which was released in December 2025, has crossed 18 million views on YouTube, making the copyright claim a major setback for the actress.
In a series of posts shared on her Instagram page on Saturday, Ademoye expressed anger and disappointment over the situation, issuing a stern ultimatum for the claim to be withdrawn immediately. She accused the individual of profiting from work she said was entirely hers and blocking her from earning from her own project.
She also warned that there would be consequences if the issue was not resolved quickly, calling on anyone who knows the individual or is connected to the platforms involved to step in.
According to Ademoye, this is not her first encounter with such an issue, revealing that she is already dealing with another ongoing copyright dispute involving a different person.
As of the time this report was filed, there has been no public response from the accused individual regarding the allegations.
