DJAN Clears Air on Burna Boy Ban Rumours After DJ Tunez Incident

Zoyols News

The Deejays Association of Nigeria has come out strongly to debunk claims that it placed a ban on songs by Burna Boy following an alleged clash involving DJ Tunez. The association described the reports as untrue and misleading, urging the public to disregard them.

Speaking through its National President, Prince Akim Edeh, the body expressed concern over how quickly unverified information spread across platforms. He made it clear that at no point did the association approve or announce any restriction on Burna Boy’s music.

He stressed that the association stands firmly against any form of violence within the entertainment space and is closely watching developments around the reported incident. While acknowledging that there is an ongoing investigation, he urged patience and cautioned against drawing conclusions too early.

The association also raised alarm over the misuse of its official logo, which was allegedly used to give credibility to the false reports circulating online. It distanced itself completely from such claims, stating that they do not reflect its position or values.

DJAN further reiterated its commitment to maintaining a peaceful and cooperative environment among DJs, artists, and other stakeholders in the music industry. It encouraged everyone involved to allow the appropriate authorities handle the matter without interference.

Clarifying another point, the association noted that DJ Tunez is not a registered member of the body, dismissing any assumptions linking him directly to its internal affairs.

The situation reportedly began at Obi’s House in Lagos, where DJ Tunez was said to have been confronted after playing songs by Wizkid instead of Burna Boy. Despite the controversy, DJAN maintained that it has no plans to ban the music of any artist and remains focused on promoting unity and professionalism across the industry.
