Dayo Amusa has taken another major step in her flourishing career as she has now been elected the National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. Her emergence followed a keenly contested national election held in Benin City, Edo State, where members of the guild gathered to choose new leaders for the association.

Moments after the results were announced, she expressed deep appreciation to everyone who entrusted her with the role. In a statement issued by her media office on Monday, December 8, 2025, she described the victory as a reflection of her long standing commitment to the growth and stability of the guild. She noted that the confidence shown in her by colleagues reinforces her dedication to strengthening the guild’s structure and improving its day to day operations.

She also highlighted that her time in office will be driven by openness, fresh ideas, and meaningful contributions that will benefit both established and emerging actors. According to her, the Nigerian film industry is entering a crucial phase, and she intends to use her position to ensure that actors receive the recognition and support they deserve as key contributors to national development.

Dayo Amusa’s impact in Nollywood is well known. Over the years, she has featured in several acclaimed movies and produced notable works, including the Yoruba hit “Dewunmi Iberu.” Beyond her screen accomplishments, she is involved in various initiatives aimed at preserving cultural heritage and encouraging creative talent.

She currently serves as the Vice President of the Ijebu Pride Network, a platform that celebrates the cultural richness of Ijebuland and Remoland while spotlighting outstanding entertainers from both regions. The initiative was founded by Bashorun Femi Branch, who leads the network, with Dayo Amusa working alongside him to push its vision.

Her steady rise and continued influence have earned her admiration across the country. She remains a source of encouragement to many young actors who look up to her journey as proof that hard work, passion, and consistency can open remarkable doors.
