Lagos came alive with laughter and excitement as fast rising Nigerian comedian Ekene Smith staged a memorable edition of his comedy special, Laff Supper with Ekene Smith and the 12 Disciples. The event took place at Trinity House Zion Centre on Victoria Island and drew a lively crowd of families, comedy lovers, and supporters of the creative industry.
The evening was designed not only as a comedy showcase but also as a moment of connection and community impact. It was organised under the Ekene Smith Adigwu Youth Foundation, with support from Trinity House, bringing together entertainment and a strong message of unity and giving back.
Guests were treated to performances from some of the most energetic names in comedy, including Efe Warri Boy, MC Shaggi, ATM, MC Laz, Abilitea, Arite, and Odogwu. Each act brought a unique style to the stage, keeping the audience engaged and entertained from start to finish.
Beyond the jokes and performances, the show also created a platform for emerging talents, staying true to the foundation’s goal of empowering young creatives and opening doors within the entertainment space.
Speaking after the event, Ekene Smith expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and turnout. He described the night as a fulfilling experience that successfully blended entertainment with purpose, noting that the goal of spreading joy and strengthening community bonds was fully achieved.
The production, handled by Papumatic, also received positive feedback from attendees who praised its smooth execution and engaging atmosphere.
Looking ahead, Ekene Smith shared plans for the next edition of Laff Supper, which is scheduled for Easter Monday 2027. He revealed that the upcoming show could be hosted either in Nigeria or the United Kingdom, depending on final arrangements, with expectations already building for an even bigger experience.
