EKSU honors Ekiti First Lady for her dedication to education

Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, has extended warm wishes to the wife of the state governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, as she marked her birthday, commending her for her remarkable contributions to education and community development.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Registrar and Head of the Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, Bode Olofinmuagun, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Babalola Ayodele, the university described Dr. Oyebanji as an inspiring figure whose passion for education continues to impact lives across the state.

The Vice Chancellor praised the First Lady for her selfless service as a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, where she has been teaching pro bono, describing it as a reflection of her genuine commitment to nurturing the next generation. He also lauded her steadfast support for peace, unity, and stability within the Ekiti State government, noting that her example serves as a source of encouragement to many.

According to the statement, Professor Ayodele acknowledged Dr. Oyebanji’s humility and leadership qualities, adding that her dedication to the growth of the education sector has left a lasting legacy on the university and the state at large.

He prayed for her continued strength, sound health, and more years of impactful service to humanity.
