Onos Brisibi, a celebrated gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack artist, has passed away at the age of 55. Her family confirmed her death on Thursday, revealing she lost her battle with a prolonged illness on March 23, 2026.
In a heartfelt statement, the Brisibi family described her as a devoted Christian whose music inspired countless lives. “Onos Nancy Brisibi was a gifted songstress and passionate praise and worship leader. Her angelic voice touched many, spreading the gospel far and wide. She will be remembered as a beautiful, warm-hearted woman whose faith and kindness left lasting impressions on everyone who knew her,” the family said.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Brisibi, her mother, siblings, extended family, friends, and her church family at LoveWorld Ministries. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.

Born on November 20, 1970, in Aladja, Delta State, to Ambrose Oproze and Mary Koko Brisibi, Onos began her music journey at the age of nine. She later became one of Nollywood’s most sought-after soundtrack artists, lending her voice to films like Domitilla, Mortal Inheritance, Deadly Passion, Blood Money, Deadly End, and Shame. Her distinctive vocals also featured on the hit song Gra Gra by Lagbaja, cementing her legacy in both gospel and popular music.
