The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a minor update to the arrival schedule for candidates participating in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This new directive, shared via the board’s official social media channels on Monday, is part of an effort to streamline the examination process at various centers across the country.
According to the update monitored by Zoyols News, candidates scheduled for the first session of the day are now required to be at their designated Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers by 7:00 a.m. This is a slight shift from the previously communicated 6:30 a.m. arrival time. Under this new arrangement, the examination for the morning batch will officially kick off at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to conclude by 10:30 a.m.
The board clarified that this adjustment is intended to ensure a more organized check-in process for students and to reduce unnecessary waiting times. By pushing the arrival time forward by thirty minutes, JAMB hopes to create a more relaxed environment for candidates as they prepare for their papers.
Beyond the first session, the daily timetable has been carefully structured to accommodate four different batches running from Monday through Friday. These small timing adjustments apply across all sessions and are specifically designed to improve the overall operational efficiency of CBT centers nationwide. Candidates are advised to take note of these changes to avoid any confusion on their scheduled exam dates.
