Big Brother Naija star Adekunle Olopade has expressed deep appreciation to the Lagos State Police Command for their quick intervention in the recent incident of alleged police brutality involving him.

In a heartfelt message shared on X, the reality TV personality revealed that the prompt response from the Command’s Complaint Response Unit restored his faith in the system. According to him, the officers acted immediately after the news broke, launched an investigation, and followed through to ensure justice was served.

Adekunle noted that he has been in close contact with the Area Commander, ACP Oluyemisi Ojo, who personally led the investigation. He confirmed that the officers involved in the assault have been identified and subjected to disciplinary measures.

He wrote that visiting the Elemoro Police Station and witnessing the outcome of the investigation lifted a huge emotional weight off his shoulders. Adekunle described it as a powerful moment, especially at a time when public confidence in law enforcement has been waning.

He commended the Lagos State Police Complaint Response Unit for their commitment to justice and urged Nigerians not to remain silent in the face of police misconduct. He encouraged citizens to report any form of brutality, gather evidence, and take advantage of the channels designed to protect their rights.

Adekunle reminded the public that while there are good police officers dedicated to service, there are still a few who tarnish the image of the institution. He advised everyone to remain cautious, especially as the festive season approaches, emphasizing that harassment and abuse of power must never be tolerated.

The reality star also took a moment to thank his fans and well-wishers for their overwhelming love and support throughout the ordeal. He said their prayers, calls, and messages were a source of strength during a difficult period.

In his words, it is a great relief to know that justice was achieved and that unity and public accountability still hold meaning in society. Adekunle expressed gratitude to everyone who stood by him, stating that he is ready to move forward and return to being himself again.
