Phyna urges Imisi to avoid the path she took in her family feud

ZoyolsBlog

Phyna has reached out with quiet warmth and encouragement to fellow Big Brother Naija winner Imisi, who is currently caught in a tense situation with her mother. Her message, shared on X, carried the tone of someone who has known the weight of family troubles and understands how deeply they can cut.

She told Imisi that she had walked through her own storm and was still learning to rise from it. She prayed for the younger star’s strength and urged her to stay focused, admitting that her own choices in the past had left scars she would not wish on anyone. Her words were soft but firm, guiding Imisi to remain steady and not repeat the missteps she once made.

This came at a time when a dispute between Imisi and her mother had spilled onto social media. The older woman claimed her daughter had turned away from her despite the one hundred and fifty million naira prize she won. She also spoke about the state of her living conditions and expressed disappointment over what she described as distance and resentment from her daughter.

Imisi responded in Yoruba, pleading with her mother to stay calm and avoid turning their private issues into public drama. She promised to support her financially and begged for forgiveness, explaining that she was still recovering from the pressure of the show and could not handle further emotional turmoil.

The situation drew even more attention after her mother accused her of painting hurtful stories about her childhood, including claims she strongly denied. A video shared by the mother showing the house she lives in stirred reactions online, as she insisted she was content with her life and not after her daughter’s wealth.

For many viewers, the exchange echoed a similar moment from the past. After Phyna’s own Big Brother Naija win in 2023, her father spoke with the media about the emotional strain that followed. He said his daughter encouraged him to stop driving a hearse and to sell the cars he used for work, promising that the family’s life was about to change. He said things fell apart afterward and that he was left struggling without the momentum he once had. According to him, he had not seen her since the victory and felt pushed aside while she moved on with her new life.

The ongoing tension surrounding Imisi has revived conversations about how sudden fame affects family relationships. Phyna’s heartfelt message stands out as someone who has lived through similar wounds and simply hopes another young woman will find a gentler way to navigate her own storm.
