Osogbo was brought to a vibrant halt on Monday as loyalists and progressives from across Osun State converged with pomp and pageantry to mark the birthday anniversary of leading All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, widely known as AMBO.
The Ilerioluwa Campaign Office auditorium was filled to capacity, overflowing with Oyebamiji’s friends, professional colleagues, and political associates, all gathered in palpable jubilation to honor the aspirant.
In his opening remarks, former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, characterized Oyebamiji as a phenomenon and a truly worthy leader whose exceptional leadership qualities have deeply endeared him to a vast number of people.
Owoeye seized the moment to deliver a vital political charge, urging members and loyalists of the party, particularly those within the AMBO Movement, to significantly ramp up their efforts as the APC governorship primary looms closer.
“What we are doing here today is primarily to give thanks to Almighty Allah for His boundless protection and blessings upon our preferred aspirant, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji,” Owoeye stated. “He is the brain behind all of this momentum. He has demonstrated such quality leadership, which is precisely why you can see all of us here. We thank God for his life and the good things God has used him to accomplish.”
He concluded with an encouraging call to action: “As we celebrate his birthday, I implore us to continue giving our very best in supporting him and spreading the AMBO message. Let us scale up our efforts as we approach the primary and the main governorship election. By God’s grace, victory is ours.”
In their separate goodwill messages, key party figures, including Deacon Sayo Abimbola, Kamil Oyedele, Taiwo Oluga, and Debo Akanbi Osunagbeni, all echoed the same sentiment, urging party members to remain unified and steadfast in their support for the AMBO project. The jubilant event successfully drew party chieftains and dedicated loyalists from every corner of the state and beyond.
