Tacha Speaks Out on Jehovah’s Witness Patient Blood Refusal

Former Big Brother Naija star Tacha has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Aunty Esther, a popular vendor who reportedly refused a blood transfusion while battling cancer.

Aunty Esther, known for promoting her trade openly on X, had revealed she was fighting breast cancer and preferred natural remedies over conventional treatment. Supporters quickly raised over N30 million to help cover her medical expenses, encouraging her to explore modern medical care.

Despite the public support, reports emerged that she refused the transfusion at the hospital, leaving those who contributed funds frustrated and sparking heated debate on X.

Tacha responded candidly, expressing her disbelief over the situation. She wrote, “Honestly, if somebody wants to die, I don’t see the argument. You people should allow the person to make that choice. I don’t see reasons trying to save someone who doesn’t want to be saved. This isn’t about religion; it’s just pure madness.”

She further criticized Aunty Esther’s past behavior, highlighting what she sees as a pattern of recklessness and lack of empathy. “And let’s be real, I’m not surprised. She has consistently shown carelessness—even during serious family matters or mourning, she’s often promoting her business online. But she’s ‘Twitter’s Favorite,’ so everyone always gives her a pass,” Tacha added.

Tacha also questioned the vendor’s religious justification for refusing treatment. “Big hypocrites. Isn’t it funny how your religion allows you to lie, steal, and cheat, yet won’t let you take a blood transfusion to save your own life?”

She concluded by urging a more practical use of the funds raised. “That N30 million could save 50 to 100 lives in today’s Nigeria. Just channel the money to people who want to live, and let those who want to die do so in peace.”
