The chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Dr. Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has dismissed reports claiming he issued a 21-day ultimatum to the federal government to release Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement released by his media adviser, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, and made available to journalists on Sunday, Tompolo distanced himself from the viral publication, describing it as a deliberate attempt by his detractors to tarnish his image.

According to him, the false report was fabricated by individuals seeking to undermine his efforts in combating oil theft and illegal crude activities across the Niger Delta. “The attention of High Chief Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, has been drawn to a trending publication on social media. We wish to state categorically that Tompolo did not author the said statement and has no involvement whatsoever in matters concerning Nnamdi Kanu,” the statement read.

He stressed that those behind the story were enemies determined to discredit his name and frustrate his ongoing work to rid the region of oil bunkering. “These people have failed and will continue to fail because Tompolo remains resolute in his mission to eliminate illegal oil operations in the Niger Delta,” it added.

Tompolo, who also holds the traditional title of Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and his full support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also expressed confidence in the president’s leadership and pledged to continue working for national progress.

He urged both the federal government and the public to disregard the false report, emphasizing that his focus remains on ensuring peace, stability, and economic integrity in the Niger Delta.

Reports says that Tompolo has been instrumental in the federal government’s efforts to curb oil theft and restore transparency in the nation’s oil sector.
