Ademola Lookman delivered another standout performance as Atalanta came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in Bergamo on Tuesday night. The Nigerian forward was a constant threat on the break, troubling Chelsea’s defence and even seeing a well-taken goal ruled out for offside.

Chelsea had taken the lead through Joao Pedro, but Atalanta responded with calm and precision. Charles De Ketelaere played a pivotal role, first setting up Gianluca Scamacca for the equaliser before scoring the decisive winner in the 83rd minute. The defeat deepened Chelsea’s struggles under Enzo Maresca, marking their first Champions League loss after leading at half-time since 2013 and extending their winless run in all competitions to four games. Atalanta’s victory moved them to third, making them the highest-ranked Italian side in the tournament, while Chelsea slipped out of automatic qualification spots and remain without an away Champions League win in their last five outings.

Elsewhere, Victor Osimhen was unable to break through as Galatasaray fell 1-0 to Monaco. Despite his tireless runs and probing attacks, Osimhen was denied by a resilient defence, with Folarin Balogun’s early second-half tap-in proving decisive.

For Nigerians Igoh Ogbu and David Moses, it was an even tougher night as Slavia Prague were dismantled 3-0 by Tottenham at home, conceding via an own goal and two second-half penalties. Spurs dominated possession and exploited wide areas consistently, leaving the Nigerian pair exposed throughout the game.

Liverpool snatched a dramatic late win at Inter Milan, while Barcelona staged a spirited comeback to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at Camp Nou, thanks to two quick headers from Jules Koundé early in the second half. Bayern Munich also impressed with a remarkable turnaround, scoring three times in twelve minutes to defeat Sporting Lisbon 3-1, highlighted by a standout performance from 17-year-old Lennart Karl.

Olympiakos claimed a crucial 1-0 victory away at Kairat Almaty, and Marseille held on for a tense 3-2 win over Union Saint-Gilloise. Champions League action continues on Wednesday, with the spotlight on the eagerly anticipated clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu.
