Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reassured residents that infrastructure projects under his administration will be evenly spread across all towns, constituencies, and local governments in the state.
The governor made this pledge in Ila Orangun during an inspection of the ongoing dualisation of the town’s major road. His visit also included a condolence call to the Orangun of Ila, Oba Abdul Wahab Olukayode Oyedotun, Bibire, over the passing of his senior wife, Olori Abosede Oyedotun, as well as to the family of late PDP stalwart, Elder Kolapo Lawal.
Adeleke urged the contractors handling the road project to maintain top-quality standards and ensure timely delivery, noting that his government remains firmly committed to providing infrastructure that will directly impact the lives of the people. He stressed that no community will be sidelined in his development drive.
“Our projects are designed to reach every part of Osun. My vision is to bring progress to all towns and villages. With God’s grace and your support, no project will be abandoned,” the governor assured.
He praised the people of Ila for their patience and cooperation, adding that more initiatives will soon follow to further uplift the town.
In response, the Ila Orangun Traditional Council described the dualisation project as a remarkable gift that would reshape the fortunes of the historic community. Speaking on behalf of the council, the Ejemu of Ila commended Governor Adeleke for breaking new ground by initiating the first-ever dual carriageway in the town.
According to him, the project, which many once thought impossible, has become a reality under Adeleke’s leadership. He hailed the governor as a “promise keeper” and a “talk-and-do leader,” stressing that the development has restored confidence and pride to the people of Ila.
The community leader further pledged the town’s unwavering support for the governor, promising massive backing for his re-election bid.
“With the transformation we are witnessing today, Ila Orangun stands with you yesterday, today, and tomorrow,” he declared.
