Starting Monday, March 9, the Police College in Ikeja will transform into a hub of activity as the physical and credential screening process officially kicks off. According to details shared by the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, the exercise is scheduled to run daily, beginning at 7:00 a.m. each morning, and will continue through April 18.
This particular window is dedicated exclusively to Lagos State indigenes who successfully navigated the initial online registration phase for both General Duty and Specialist roles. Reports gathered that the Command is maintaining a strict standard regarding presentation and documentation. Candidates are expected to arrive in clean white T-shirts and shorts, carrying their required documents organized neatly into two separate white flat files.
The checklist for applicants is comprehensive, leaving no room for oversight. Every candidate must present their invitation slip, which indicates their assigned screening table, alongside the formal credential screening form and a National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card. Educational and personal records are equally vital; original O’ Level certificates, birth certificates or age declarations, and proof of Local Government or State of Origin must be provided. For those applying under the Specialist category, trade test certificates are a mandatory addition to the folder.
Beyond academic and personal records, the recruitment process emphasizes character verification. Each applicant is required to submit a signed guarantors’ form, complete with photocopies of the referees’ identification and recent passport photographs. SP Adebisi was clear in her briefing to Reports: any candidate who fails to produce these documents in the specified format—separating originals and duplicates into the two files—will be disqualified from the exercise immediately.
