Vice President Kashim Shettima has extended heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, state governors, lawmakers, and citizens across the country for their warm birthday wishes as he marked his 59th year.
In a statement on Tuesday, Shettima said the goodwill messages were a powerful reminder of unity and the enduring spirit of service. He described President Tinubu’s note, which he called “filled with warmth and comradeship,” as deeply moving and a reaffirmation of their shared loyalty and vision for Nigeria’s progress.
Reflecting on his partnership with the President, Shettima said it was a privilege to serve under Tinubu’s “visionary, people-focused leadership” and to contribute to shaping the nation’s future through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Vice President also expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her kind wishes, while recognizing the support he received from governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives, ministers, traditional and religious leaders, community voices, and ordinary Nigerians who reached out to celebrate him.
Shettima noted that the flood of goodwill had renewed his determination to remain steadfast in public service, with a focus on building a secure, prosperous, and just nation.
“As I reflect on these messages of goodwill, I feel strengthened in purpose and encouraged in spirit. Like Mr. President, I hold firm to the belief that Nigeria’s brightest days are still ahead,” he said.
