Sean Dyche Named New Nottingham Forest Manager

zoyolsblog

Nottingham Forest have named Sean Dyche as their new head coach on a contract running until 2027, following the club’s decision to part ways with Ange Postecoglou after just 40 days in charge.

Dyche, 54, who previously managed Burnley and Everton, returns to Forest where he was once a trainee under legendary manager Brian Clough. This will be his first managerial role since leaving Everton earlier this year, and he becomes the club’s third manager in a single season.

Forest described Dyche as a “respected and experienced Premier League manager” whose character, tactical knowledge, and proven track record make him the ideal choice to lead the club through its next chapter.

Dyche will take charge for the first time on Thursday in Forest’s Europa League clash at home against Porto.

Postecoglou’s tenure ended shortly after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea, making him the shortest-serving permanent manager in Premier League history. Owner Evangelos Marinakis decided to part ways after the Australian failed to secure a win in his opening eight league games.

This marks the third managerial change at Forest this season, following Nuno Espirito Santo’s dismissal in September, which came after tensions with the club’s ownership.

Despite heavy investment of over £100 million in the summer transfer window, Forest remain in the Premier League relegation zone with just five points from eight games.
