The Transmission Company of Nigeria has rolled out a new anti-corruption framework designed to curb graft, unethical conduct and boost transparency within the organisation.
Unveiled on Tuesday at the TCN headquarters in Abuja, the framework brings together four key policies: anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering and fraud, conflict of interest, and whistleblowing.
Representing the Managing Director, Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, the Executive Director of Human Resources and Corporate Services, Mrs. Abiodun Afolabi-Fadahunsi, said the move reflects the company’s resolve to uphold integrity and ethical standards. She noted that as an organisation handling a critical part of Nigeria’s power supply chain, TCN’s reputation rests not only on its results but on how its affairs are run.
She added that the fight against corruption needs the full commitment of both management and staff, stressing that ethical behaviour must become a core part of the company’s culture. The four policies have been compiled into a single booklet by the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit and staff have been asked to study them and apply the guidelines in their daily work.
