Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has taken aim at Senator Ned Nwoko for denying claims that he married Regina Daniels when she was 17. The controversy resurfaced after Sowore released documents suggesting Daniels was a minor at the time of her marriage.
Nwoko previously refuted the allegations, stating that when he first met Daniels, she claimed to be 21 and provided her INEC voter’s card as proof. He emphasized that their marriage took place six years ago, making Regina 27 now, and insisted that any suggestion of him marrying a minor was false.
Ogala, however, reminded Nwoko that official documents, including Regina’s birth certificate and international passport, clearly show she was born in 2001. She also cited statements from Daniels’ father confirming her birth year, pointing out that Nwoko ignored these facts while traveling internationally with her.
“I am sorry for you, Epa. You forgot there is a birth certificate. You traveled to many countries with her, using the same international passport that showed she was born in 2001. Her father also confirmed this. Yet you ignored it and went ahead to marry a minor and introduced her to all sorts of things,” Ogala wrote on Instagram.
The actress also alluded to disturbing details about the senator’s personal life, warning against men who impose sexual fantasies on partners, including threesomes and other acts, while alleging drug use in the marriage. Ogala defended Daniels against claims of drug abuse, calling them a blackmail tactic intended to coerce her back into a toxic marriage.
Nwoko had accused Daniels’ siblings and friends of undermining his attempts at rehabilitation, claiming they brought her drugs despite his instructions. Daniels, in turn, pointed out the irony, saying it was Nwoko who encouraged her drug use to make her “sexier, wilder, and more romantic.” She accused him of controlling her—locking her up, taking her phones, and labeling her mentally unstable when she resisted the relationship.
In one post, Daniels admitted she only used drugs because it was what her husband wanted, questioning how she could have been on drugs at 17 if she married him at that age.
