Nollywood actress and filmmaker Oma Nnadi has come out in support of her colleague Regina Daniels following renewed discussions about the actress’s early marriage.
Taking to Instagram, Oma addressed critics who have judged Regina for marrying at just 17. She called out the hypocrisy of those criticizing the actress, urging them to reflect before casting judgment. Oma advised Regina to ignore the noise and remain strong for her family.
She wrote, “My goodness, Regina was only 17 when this man took her as his wife. And yet people are talking, blaming a child. Those speaking online, especially some males, could you even bathe yourselves at that age? God forbid. Before you judge Regina, pluck the sand from your own eyes first. Hypocrites everywhere. My girl, shut your ears to all this and stay strong and well for your family. They are no better than you. This will surely pass.”
Oma’s post underscores her support for Regina and sends a broader message about empathy, understanding, and resisting unwarranted public judgment, especially when it comes to young women navigating personal milestones.
