Regina Daniels admits defeat, says she’s returning to husband

Nollywood star Regina Daniels has stirred deep emotions across social media after breaking down in tears and declaring that she has finally “given up.” The actress, visibly distraught in a new video shared on her Instagram Story early Friday, opened up about her emotional and mental struggles, saying she felt overwhelmed by the pressures surrounding her family.

“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody,” she said tearfully.

Her breakdown followed a moment of brief relief just a day earlier when she celebrated the reconciliation of her long-estranged parents, who reunited solely for her happiness. “Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness,” she wrote on Thursday.

According to the actress, her parents are currently in Abuja, working together to secure the release of her brother, Sammy, who has allegedly been in detention for several days. Expressing her frustration, she vowed to personally intervene if the situation persisted. “Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she declared.

In another clip shared on her page, fellow actress Mercy Johnson was seen searching for Sammy, telling viewers, “He’s not here,” before adding that she would continue looking elsewhere.

Amid the mounting tension, Regina Daniels, fighting back tears, expressed her pain and hinted at returning to her husband. “But please, what am I even begging for? I don’t know. Do you guys think it’s easy? Every time I wake up, I say one thing oh my brother, today I hear good news, he’s about to be free, then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back,” she said.

Her words grew heavier later that day as she made a series of emotional posts lamenting the alleged injustice against her brother. “I give up! What was my brother’s offense? Fighting for his baby sister because her in-law would always beat her up? I actually accorded the Nigerian police some respect, but shame on you all! It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins. Now I’m crippled! I will return if that’s the only way. Do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return. Because by law, there is no tangible case against Sammywest! Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria  that’s what this means. We lost, or rather, I lost,” she wrote in a now-viral post shared on Social media.

Her emotional meltdown comes just weeks after she hinted that she had suffered domestic violence in her marriage. In a video that surfaced on October 18, Regina was seen crying as relatives tried to console her. “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much,” she said.

Ned Nwoko had quickly refuted the claims, alleging that his wife’s behavior was influenced by “drug and alcohol abuse” and that she was in need of rehabilitation.

Despite the chaos surrounding her, Regina recently pleaded with Nigerians to stop attacking her mother, describing her as her “pillar and protector.”

The actress’s emotional confession has left fans deeply concerned, with many expressing sympathy and urging her to seek help and prioritize her well-being.
