Nollywood star Regina Daniels is showing resilience and determination in the middle of her marital crisis. The actress took to Instagram to announce her return to work, sharing a video of herself promoting a brand and reminding everyone that it’s time to make serious money.
“Back to the work that should pay me because a babe needs to gather a lot of money,” she captioned the post, signaling a powerful comeback.
The post immediately sparked reactions across social media. Toyin Abraham commented, “Oshey omo Mercy. Type sht.” BBNaija’s Queen chimed in, “Grab all the bags, girls. That’s the type of sht we love.” Adaora Ukoh added, “And someone is somewhere shouting rehab. That’s diabolical type sh*t.” Other fans flooded her comment section, hailing her confidence and teasing her estranged husband.
“It’s Papa that married many wives. E reach Gen Z turn, she turn am to single father,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Gina na big name o, person wey fit turn Ned to single father.” Others praised her strength, saying, “This is the version of Gina we missed.”
Just recently, Regina was seen out partying with singer Peter Okoye, looking unbothered and glowing. After her brother’s release from police custody, she publicly appreciated the overwhelming love and support she’s been receiving, indirectly shading her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, for assuming the public would turn against her.
In another heartfelt post, the actress expressed gratitude for her strong support system, especially the women who stood by her. “I’m proud of the mothers and aunties fighting my battle while I sit home and enjoy,” she wrote.
The actress has been surrounded by love and solidarity from top Nollywood figures, including Yvonne Jegede, Mercy Aigbe, Mercy Johnson, Doris Ogala, Mary Njoku, Toyin Lawani, Oma Nnadi, Precious Chikwendu, and Georgina Onuoha, among others.
It all began two weeks ago when Regina claimed she was experiencing domestic violence in her marriage to Ned Nwoko. In a viral video, she tearfully revealed that she didn’t feel like a queen in her husband’s house. Days later, she accused Ned of using his influence to have her siblings arrested, allegedly demanding that she return to him and go back to “rehab.”
She also claimed her brother had been beaten by the police, questioning the basis for such violence. Regina accused Ned of believing his wealth and connections could silence her, adding that their feud had turned into a “power for power, aura for aura” battle.
Despite the chaos, Regina maintains she has no regrets about her marriage, calling it a journey she was destined to take. Her recent posts, though, suggest she’s done playing the victim. With her head held high and her eyes on the bag, Regina Daniels seems ready to rewrite her story—one paycheck at a time.
