ZoyolsBlog

President Bola Tinubu welcomed Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday evening. While the specifics of their discussions remain undisclosed, the meeting likely centered on enhancing regional peace, security, and economic collaboration across West Africa.

President Bio, who took over as chair of the Economic Community of West African States in June from Tinubu, made this his first official visit to Nigeria in this role. His trip also included delivering a keynote speech at Baze University’s 12th convocation and engaging with African business leaders.

Both leaders intend to deepen cooperation on promoting democracy, counterterrorism efforts, and sustainable development throughout the ECOWAS member countries.
