Afrobeats star Young Jonn has postponed the release of his highly anticipated album “Blue Disco” in response to the worsening insecurity across Nigeria. The decision reflects the heavy atmosphere of fear, grief, and uncertainty that continues to affect the nation.

In a heartfelt statement on X, Young Jonn shared his disappointment and concern over the country’s challenges. He highlighted the urgent need for both leaders and citizens to rise and address the insecurity while seeking strength and guidance from God during these trying times.

“It’s disheartening that Nigeria is still confronted with such overwhelming challenges; the insecurity has become unbearable. It’s clear that leaders and we citizens must do better. In light of this, I’ve decided to postpone the release of my album BLUE DISCO to a later date,” he wrote.

“Blue Disco,” originally scheduled for release on November 21, 2025, includes collaborations with top artists such as Wizkid, Rema, Asake, and Olamide. While a new release date has not yet been announced, Young Jonn ended his message with a prayer for peace and healing across the nation.

“Above all, I’m praying for healing across our nation, that God restores peace, unity, and hope to Nigeria,” he added, emphasizing that the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens take precedence over the album launch.
