Zlatan Ibile has opened up about why he prefers not to invest in emerging artists, on the Adesope Live show, the popular Nigerian rapper explained that backing up-and-coming talents comes with significant risk. He stressed that he cannot be certain whether such investments would yield any returns, and as a result, he chooses to prioritize financial stability over speculative ventures.
“I would rather invest in a house than put money into artistes whose success isn’t guaranteed,” Zlatan said. “The reason I make music is to ensure financial stability. My goal has always been to be responsible and secure. Early in my career, I faced a lot of pressure and anxiety because I wasn’t financially balanced.”
Despite his cautious approach to investing, Zlatan made it clear that he remains open to collaboration. He expressed willingness to work with upcoming artistes, noting that he benefited from similar support when he was starting out in the industry.
